Authors Note: Rodania, Slasher Red, Nibblix, Rodimus Primal and Tracker are my characters. The other characters are Hasbro and Mainframes. This story is for fun I am not making a profit from it, so enjoy it. :)

It is early morning when a stasis pod hatch opens in the forest not far from the Axalon. A bright red fox emerges from it and runs to the location he is drawn to. Someone is calling his spark and he aches to help her. The mysterious fox watches Dinobot and Tracker carry Slasher Red back to the Axalon. The stranger howls sadly because he feels a special bond with the female they are carrying. Nibblix pauses when she hears the sad sound because she knows it is the howl of a fox. Nibblix glances around for a few moments before riding the manlift into the Axalon. The stranger watches Dinobot and Tracker disappear with his mate.

Rodimus Prime wounds Rodania in a battle while he is infected by the hate plague. A few minutes later Optimus Prime uses the Matrix to destroy the hate plague. Rodimus Prime goes back to normal. He gasps when he spots Rodania dying on the ground. "Rodania, I am sorry I did this to you. Please forgive me." Rodania looks up at Rodimus Prime, "Rodimus, it is not your fault that this had to happen. I will love you forever, promise me that you will go on without me." Rodimus makes the promise before Rodania dies. Rodimus Prime breaks down sobbing because he lost the one person that meant a lot to him.

The minute the Maximals are in the Axalon, the mysterious stranger transforms. "Rodimus Primal, Maximize." The red fox transforms into the handsome robot form of Rodimus Primal. "Slasher Red, after all these years I finally find you. It looks like I am too late to save you." Rodimus snarls and stabs the ground with his sword. "No! There must be a way to save you. Red hang on, I will find whatever did this to you. I lost you once and I refuse to lose you again. Beast mode." Rodimus Primal runs into the forest determined to save his mate.

Slasher Red is placed into Nibblix's lab. Dinobot and Tracker sadly leave so Nibblix can learn all she can about Slasher's death. Nibblix hears a mild beep from her scanner. The tiny Maximal Scientist blinks because that means that Slasher Red is still alive. Nibblix quickly removes Red's spark and places it in a special casing. "Slasher Red, I will find a way to save you.", promises Nibblix. Red's spark flickers since it feels the presence of someone she really cares for. Red's spark fights to remain alive.

Nibblix runs to tell her friends the great news. The hamster runs none stop all the way to the meeting room. Optimus Primal was preparing to do a farewell ceremony for Slasher Red. "Optimus, wait! Slasher Red's spark is fighting to survive. She did not die like we thought." Optimus Primal smiles at that news, "Nibblix do whatever it takes to save Red. She is one of my finest warriors. To lose her would be a blow to us." Nibblix nods then runs back to her lab.

Optimus Primal heads to the manlift. "I am going to locate the pod that has the powder in it. Perhaps the powder is the key to the cure. Optimus Primal, Maximize! Rhinox help Nibblix save Slasher." Rhinox nods his head as Primal leaves. Rhinox whispers softly, "Be careful Optimus, whatever invaded Red might do the same to you." Optimus Primal nods, "Noted, I will use caution around the pod." The manlift lowers to the ground, "Sentinal down, Prime jets on." Optimus Primal leaves the area in search of the stasis pod.

Rodimus Primal sniffs the ground and curls his lips into a snarl, "Not again! The hate plague nearly ruined the galaxy before." He locates the stasis pod that has the dust. He quickly scrapes a sample an contains it. Rodimus glares at the stasis pod, "Hate plague, you will not claim anymore innocent lifeforms." Rodimus drags the pod to the nearest area with molten lava. He hurls the pod into the lava and smiles as the pod sinks out of sight.

Optimus Primal notices the stasis pod gone, "Now that is just Prime! How am I going to get the needed sample for Nibblix?" Primal sniffs the air, "No Predacons in the area so it could not be them that destroyed or stole the pod." Optimus notices the stasis pod drag marks in the ground, he follows the marks all the way to the lava pit. "Who ever did this must be a friend or foe." He saw Rodimus Primal hurl the pod into the lava. "No! Whoever you are that pod had the means to save a friend." Rodimus Primal turns and faces Optimus Primal. "I got what I needed to save my mate. Step aside so I can save her from the hate plague." Optimus Primal glares at Rodimus, "Who do you think you are for bossing me around? Do you even know who I am?" Rodimus snarls, "I must save my mate. I swear that I will tear you limb from limb if her spark dies. Now let me pass or prepare to fight."

Optimus Primal looks deeply into Rodimus Primal's eyes, he can feel the pain Rodimus is going through. "Stranger, we both need to save someone from the hate plague. Maybe Nibblix can save your mate and Red's life." Rodimus nearly drops the sample and trembles, "Red is my mate. Sorry I threatened you, I did not realize that you and her were on the same side." Optimus Primal smiles, "My name is Optimus Primal. What is your name stranger?" Rodimus returns to his beast mode, "I am Rodimus Primal."

Megatron walks into the open, "I believe you have what I am looking for, yesss. Hand the sample over Maximal. I cannot allow you to save Slasher Red, she is a thorn in my side."

Rodimus Primal shouts, "Rodimus Primal Maximize! You are not getting the sample Megatron. Rodimus pulls out his sword and ignites it. Optimus Primal aims his weapons at Megatron too. Megatron retreats because he is not in the mood to fight alone. Rodimus fires a shot at Megatron's retreating form. Megatron growls, "Curse you Primals"

Optimus and Rodimus rush back to the Axalon and hand Nibblix the sample she needs. Nibblix begins work on the antidote. Optimus Primal leaves so Nibblix and Rodimus can be alone.

Rodimus Primal whispers to Red's spark, "Red, I failed you once and by Primus I am not failing you again. You and I will be together again." A tear drips out of his optic and hits the spark casing. Red's spark shines brighter.
